New with Slip Tips, any help?

Hi Ive never used a slip tip or removable speartip before and just bought an Riffe Mini Icepick.
After receiving it I noticed that the tip would fall easily from the top, even though i havent been able to test it in the water, im concerned that this will happen easily.

Any tips on how to have it a little more secure? I use a mares cyrano

Not sure how it works with pneumatics but on a band gun you put the cable for the tip under the shooting line (tension from the shooting line pinches the cable and holds the tip on the shaft. When the shaft is fired the water tension holds the tip until it hits a fish.

Most people tuck the cable or Spectra under the bands of rubber powered guns after the gun is cocked, but I have no idea what to do with a pneumatic gun.

The Ice pic is a bit different, but that string would be tucked under a band.

Thanks for the replies. After playing around a little I put the cable under the line and it seems to work fine
