I have the same gun. Its awesome. A lot of power, low recoil and extremely well balanced! And it barely floats with shaft in.

Beautiful looking gun i doubt if you will be disappointed!

Well I should have it soon so once its been in the water I will update on how it handles. Should be an improvement on my Beauchat Mundial Comp thats for sure :martial
Although I do love that gun and its definitely seen some combat and is going strong so it wont be getting pensioned off just yet :crutch.

Nice pics mate. US waters have some impressive fish thats for sure. What sort of range are you getting from spear tip. 5m as claimed?

It easily can take down small fish up 10lbs up to 6m. It pulls 2 wraps and line from the reel.

I shot this grouper from 5m from tip of spear. Look at how much bone it had to go through.

I am very impressed with your stalking skills and precise shot placement.
You are a true mentor that new freediving speros should emulate.
Bravo Harry.:friday

Harry what are you doing! Where is you Asso?

The asso is great, but i bend too many spears! Sux! I been using the Abellan with a 7.5mm Rob Allen spear, and i been using the same spear to shoot all those fish and more! I have yet to bend a shaft!

I shot an AJ about 50lbs and my reel feel apart and locked up due to the screw coming out. I had to horse up the AJ from 20m and the fish was almost ripped in half with a very good body shot. I put a ridiculous amount of pressure on the fish. I made it to the surface finally with enough air but wow i was so drained. The point is the shaft stayed perfectly STRAIGHT. I know if i were using a hardened stainless shaft, it would have been a pretzel!

I put the reel back together with locktite - problem solved.

The new gun is great. Got it in the water today for the first time. Very powerful but nothing special if Im honest. Dont know if I was expecting too much compared to my Beuchat 110 that I normally use. Balance and handling are good. Takes a bit of getting used to aiming compared to my Beuchat. Anyway next on the long list of must haves is the Hunt technology skinner ergo 110 :p

Cheers. Dan
