iam a newbe at freediving i have done some for fun in the past but not like iam now i am pushing my self for longer breathhold iam at 3mins but i cant get past 3min so if you could take the time any tips would hlep me alot. thanks

instead of watching how long you can hold your breath, try and count the amount of contractions you can handle. let's say you can take 25 or so, try holding your breath and taking 28 or maybe even 30. once you've lets say.. done 50% better try a pb or be happy for what you have :)

3 minutes is pretty good if you haven't been practicing. I suggest redaing the sticky post: How to Start Freediving at the top of the beginner category-

Do the O2 and CO2 tables from that post or download one of the "apnoe trainer" software programs.

I spent two weeks doing the tables and the first day I only got to 1:30 while after two weeks I had the max hold on the O2 table set at 3:30. I was able to do a max hold of 4:00 sitting at my desk two hours after a big lunch, so I assume my true max would be higher yet.
