I am a middle aged swimmer, not that fit but like swimming and recently discovered the concept of freediving. Especially the grace and beauty of it. I'm not too interested in depth, and can't afford to travel to exotic dive sites, but am still interested in being able to go down and explore shallow water dive sites (if I ever get to travel!) and also intrigued by the idea of simply being able to swim for a few minutes underwater without coming up for air. I have some mares fins and would like a monofin (my dolphin kick is decent). In a perfect world, I could find someone local to practice with and learn from. I would have to save up for a freediving class, but I've thought about that. I can do static apnea for a minute ten seconds but in the water I can only go six to eight dolphin kicks before gasping for air
