Hi folks
Just purchased my first free-dive suit after much research and many comments/suggestions from folks in this forum. I am going to Sardegna in July and my buddy from Italy (who will be joining me) suggested I get a summer suit for our diving while we are there.
So I got a Piccasso termic 3ml suit from DiveInn @ Scubastore.com.
Here is my somehwhat embarrased question. The snap for the strap on the top is really shut together tightly. I assume it just pulls apart, but am not sure. I dont want to break it..and have tried to see if it is a sliding type lock.
I emailed marc @ scubastore, but for some reason they said they cant respond until 5/16...must be vacation or holiday time.
Anyway....can any of you veterans help out?? Does it just pull straight apart?? It's really tightly locked and with the force I'm using to pry it open, I'm afraid I'm going to break something.
Thx
Brian

I had the exact same problem when I got my Picasso suit for the first time...how the heck do I undo this damned strap? :duh Plus, it wasn't moving without a great amount of force!

If it's like mine, you just slide it until it 'unclicks'. It's hard to explain, but the strap does not pull apart, you have to slide them apart....does that make any sense?

Well Bolts..thx for the prompt reply.....you just saved me from ordering a new snap, as I was about to try and pry it apart with a screwdriver...thinking it was "new" tightness. I just grabbed my top...slid the snap as you suggested and..."clik" it came apart. Yeh!!
Thanks much....now I can try this puppy on!

No problem... I very nearly made that same mistake myself. Now putting on the suit...that's a whole new thread... :hmm

Well...with regards to putting it on..I found a pointer to an article on the "ELIOS" wetsuit site...that has a pictorial guide to newcomers like myself that takes you through a suggested procedure. I'm gonna give it a shot right now...although my "longjohn" went on w/o any problems last nite. That termic lining stuff really works nicely for ease of access....now for the top..
