Right. . . . Hi guys!
I registered here a while ago and have been absorbing as much wisdom as I could from you all. It's been facinating, and a great source for me. Thought it was time I said hi though

My names Dave, feel free to call me Cyn, I'm 24 from the UK and i stumbled across this place when I started getting interested in Scuba and Freediving.

I've always loved being on/in the water did quite a bit of sailing and canoeing when I was younger, have really wanted to try Scuba. Always been interested in how far I can go, how long I can hold my breath for etc just ever since childhood really.

The casual interest bloomed into something near an obsession when I booked a holiday to Greece and found a scuba school right next to where i'm staying. Where better to do Scuba for the first time? As i'm prone to when something gets my interest, I went into Interweb-Research-Overload !

In my search I quickly stumbled across freediving and was amazed by the grace of it. From finding just a few videos around the net I was hooked and blown away all at once.

So, i've been getting down to my pool every weekend, i've been reading up on here almost every lunch hour in work. Oh and boring my g/f with videos online :t The good news? I'm off to Greeceland in two weeks, can't wait!

Thank you all for already being such a big help and guiding me as I find my way through what i'm sure is set to become a big new love in my life.

Hey Cyn, welcome to the self obsessed world of freediving. Stay on here like we all do and speak to your friends and loved ones about nothing else than freediving.

Spend hours finding the answers and days figuring it all out and when you try it, it doesn't work cos you missed one vital point....

But don't worry, whe the divorce papers come though you can always switch on ya laptop cos we will still love ya!!

Welcome to D.B.
