Hello,

My names Brandon, I just PCS'd to Okinawa, and am starting to do some research on freediving, spearfishing, and scuba. I hope to learn as much as I can about diving as possible, and in the process become a diver myself. Any tips, or guidance on where or how to start would be much appreciated!

Welcome Brandon! You came to the right place! Best way to get a safe and solid grasp on the course is to take a beginners course! There are also some great books and movies to shed some light on the sport as well :)
 
Welcome Brandon. My last overseas tour before retiring after 20 years in the Marine Corps was on Okinawa, and its a beautiful place to dive.
