hi all, im sure you are all here because of the excellence of this site and our shared love of the ocean realm.
im only at the beginner stages of freediving, after 42 years on earth ive finally decided what i wanna be when i grow up,.... A FREEDIVER!!
im deeply thankful for a place where veteran, and impending veterans share trade secrets and their hard earned experience.....
for now i have to settle for "static apnea practice" on my long drives home from work, and while doing my share of chores for the lil lady (watching the dryer spin is hypnotic)... im "lucky enough" to live near the north hemispheres largest pool, the goodwill games aquatic centre in long island N.Y.
the pool is 17 feet deep and the lanes are 25 meters long (funny how we here in america mix the two measuring systems) this pool is a great place for me to practice dynamic apnea, although i get lots of strange looks..lol
reguards and thanks

Hey, man!

Welcome! This really is a great site, and all the forum moderators and mentors are very helpful, and even more friendly. Take some time out to get a feel for the whole site.

I've been a member for a while, and it's been the ultimate tool for training, products, trends, events, and what have you. I would say about 99% people are more than willing to help you in any subject, as well as encourage you in your efforts, or sometimes even keep you falling into pit traps and mistakes already made.

It's not just a good diving site, it's just a good site in general. Good staff, and a worldly ocean of members make it just this.

Glad to have another one in the water.

Welcome to the boards! :wave
Do you have a diving buddy out there? If not, the "Find a buddy" forums are really useful! Its best not to do apnea training by yourself.

I hope you enjoy it here as much as me and everyone else.

Welcome old man.
I'll be 42 this month too ;)
Cheers,
Erik Y.
