Does anybody know about the pre-requisites?. How is going to be the selection?. There is a minimal depth to qualify?.

Yes, it would be good to have the selection criteria for the pool and depth WCs as soon as we can. Travel is a real issue and for us poor buggers at the bottom of the earth, we need to book flights before prices go through the roof.

i heard it was going to b 80 meters? and does this mean theres no free immersion discipline? thought Will would b keen on that as i think he holds the WR?

Hi all,

At the WC in Bahamas there will be a minima pre-requisites depth to compete. (this dive have to be done in an AIDA competition)

The AIDA Executive Board will announce this minima in January 2009.

And normaly this minima can be adjusted to be a little shallower 1 (or maybe 2) weeks before the last registration day, this is pending on how many athletes that have sign-up to compete. Remember that the Top-Ten athletes from this year, 2008 AIDA ranking, have a VIP place at the WC 2009.
