Congrats to Michael! I'd just like to have a bit more information before adding it to the ranking database. The article is missing the information when exactly it happened, where, and who were the judges.

yes trux - we are all anxiously awaiting the info - as soon as it comes in we'll update it all.

Congrats to Michael!

cheers,

kp

Trux - Michael is making these attempts in Egypt.

Sharm el Sheikh at the Only One Apnea Center.

Still no specific on how long the dives took. Should be more news from today....

kp

Thanks, Princess! Please try to get the exact dates, and the names of the judges too

Ivo when we (the AFA) receive the official paperwork from the judges i'll shoot you the details.

Cheers,
Ben

hey trux,

judges were Marco Nones and Jeremy (?) from England.

no-limits 106m: time of NL 8.50am dive took 2 minutes :31min seconds
VAR 101m: time of VAR 3.38pm dive took 2 minutes :44 seconds

kp

Thanks, KP. Unfortunately there is no Jeremy at all on the list of AIDA judges. I hope AIDA Australia will tell me whether it is a problem or not for their records.

Congratulations to Michael. He truly deserves it. He´s one of the most open minded and friendliest persons I ever met.
So... I´m proud I´ve been diving with him in 2007 and 2008.

Congrats Michael and you're welcome back to our comps any time ;)

Speaking of, we've got our depth comp in Lake Taupo coming up in March, so you could give FIM a go then!

Happy New Year to all! I did not look out of the window this morning yet, but it looks like something horrible happened during the night! The world shrunk or evaporated, and only Australia remained. The other possibility is that the journalist of the Adelaide Now news server took a few drinks more than would be appropriate last night. He writes today: Adelaide diver breaks world record | Adelaide Now Or did I miss something? :)

As an Adelaidean... :head:head:head

Oh, and yes trux, you missed that the journalist happens to be a she ;)
