this actually happened August 17, 2006, four and a half months ago.

If it's an article of interest to this community, and recent enough to be relevant I think it's ok to call it 'news', as the objective is supplying information we want to hear about and not only keeping up to date.

EDIT: It might not interest some people if they know it happened 4 months ago, but if it's new to me and interesting I call it good news.
