Congratulations Jana Strain!

I hope she will be coming to the World Championship pool in Arhus Denmark next year.
Maybe she can challenge the seemingly unbeatable Natalia Molchanova?

Great to see the competition catching up!

Is Jana already a DB member?

Love, Courage and Water!

I talked to Jana at DEMA and said she is planning on going to Denmark.

It appears she is using the Speedo LZR suit -- perhaps the first freediving record (national or world) set with this suit?

Hey Eric,

She is using a regular fastskin from looking at the photo...look out when she gets her hands on an LZR ;-) I think we will see a lot more to come from Jana. Great Performance!!!

Cheers,

William

90% Sure that's a fastskin II. The original had the little sharkskin things on the outside, the Pro is all black (or blue if you're Walter!) and the pro has the smooth pads and sonically-welded seams.

Great swim from a newcomer! The competition will be pretty hot at the WCs next year :)

Wow, I was talking to Andrew Hogan in Vancouver at the PFI course in June and he said Jana was "someone like him, just getting into the sport but eager." Now this! Look out.

Congratulations Jana, what a fantastic swim!! (and as a safety diver, I had the privilege of witnessing it from VERY close range!) Very, very inspirational.
