Peter Colat has broken the Guiness World Record in O2 assisted Static Apnea according to the Daily Mail in the UK.He managed to break the record by 19 seconds in St Gallen, Switzerland, with a breath-hold of 19 minutes 21 seconds.The previous record...

Not being funny but this is like a guinness record for the longest barbiturate induced sleep. I dont get it? O2 assisted apnea? Have I missed something...

It's "only" a Guinness World Record. O2 assisted apnea is not any official discipline of AIDA or CMAS.
Better not to try it, cause you can get very bad problems with high CO2. A CO2 Black Out is more difficult to rescue than a "normal" low O2 BO.
