Hi all,

Im gonna spend two weeks in Nice and hope to do some recreational freediving, snorkeling, and scuba maybe.

Up to now i've only ever dived in 15 degree celcius water, should i take 5/3mm wet suit with me, will i need it?

Anyone know of any good shore dive locations or boat operators, spearfishing groups ?

thanks

Hi, I am currently in Antibes, France. I haven't had a chance to do any diving here (thanks to work), so can't recommend anywhere, however the water is still a chilly 13 degrees c. So yeah, bring a 7 mm at least!!!! I'm from North QLD Australia, so if it was me, I'd be diving in a dry suit!!!!

Ah ha ha.... that'll teach you for leaving God's Country...

Wait - where am I again? Dope..... rofl

Benny B, I should never have left God's country, shame this is where the money's at. I'm sure you understand - but London - dude....... c'mon....

If I were to go to Nice for a long weekend where are some good spots to do multiple freedives among wildlife in the 10 metre range?

Born in Nice and began spearfishing as a little boy ...
I'll be back there from May 10th to 20th and plan to do UW video.
A pretty nice place for free-diving/ snorkelling is the St. Honorat Island, off the coast of Cannes. A sea link (1/2 h trip).
In April/May, water is about 14/16 degree C (depend of the wind) but the air is warmer. I use to wear a 5mm wetsuit because sun is hot at the surface of the sea.
There are less fish than in summer, but it is a great opportunity in discovering Med. Sea fauna and flora.
Need some stuf? visit "Sub marine" store( Nice). Ask: "Nicolas".
