The competition in Nimes just finished. I do not know any details yet, but have received a photo of the combination results. I see Fred Sessa got 122 points in dynamics, so I suppose he did 244 meters and hence a new French national record (unless there was some penalisation)

What is the latest static scoring... 12 points per minute ?
Yes, 12 :) French are rather weak in statics. The 1st place by Jean Michel Pradon was 7:14, and that is actually the best recent French performance after diverse old performances of Mifsud and even much older ones of Andy Le Sauce. However, we already know what you think about Mifsud, so you can scratch those results for yourself :)

trux, could you find out the dive time? it's always interesting and fascinating how fast he can travel such distances...

No, I do not have it, but he was pretty fast as usual. In Denmark he did the 228m in 2:15 (if I remember well). And although he improved his static time dramatically since Denmark, the DYN here was not much slower, I heard. Unfortunately I was not there (although I was registered, I had to cancel the trip on the last minute), so I cannot tell you more precisely.

Almost a 10 minutes long TV spot from the competition, including a quick interview with Fred Sessa:

http://telemiroir.kewego.fr/video/iLyROoafvigD.html

The report starts at around 11'40" and ends shortly after 20'00"

Fred surfaced at 244 and did a very clean SP. In the interview he also tells he did not go further intentionally, because the competition did not have the WR status, but that he is confident to get the record the next time. Well, I wish him the success, but do not know if he'll have the occasion before the WC, and at the WC there will be certainly more favorites. Although being it a team WC, not everyone will risk to push until the edge, and risking so the disqualification.
