Hi,
I'm just wandering what is happening with AIDA Rating tables this year. It was fun to watch it through the season. I hope Bill didn't quit the job. :)

AIDA ranking should be much more strict then it is now. If an organizer doesn't give the results to AIDA within 7 days after the competition should be excluded from the ranking. Or maybe the head judge should be the responsible?
This takes away the annoying factor that whole year long the makers of the rankinglist are begging to the organizers for the results and maybe in december there are still results being added from april or so...

In my opinion this should be the judges work.

A clear link from the athlet, the performance, the judge, to the ranking.

We are trying to have an special db for the ranking... it takes some time to have it work in the way we like. Sorry for the big delay.

Thank you Bill! I was just wandering. Happy to hear that things are in progress.

When I still did some work for AIDA when I was in the board as education responsible I designed an AIDA master database that could hold all AIDA related information. National AIDA, Persons, Judge levels, instructor levels, certification levels, # of certifications, competitions, results, rankings, rules in affect to certain comp, etc... Lot of work.

After importing all the ranking lists I think I got a list of around 4200 different freedivers that ever competed in a competition... and that was 2 years ago.

It will be great to have all this info in one database so that many different queries can made on the data.
