well started diving at 10 and have always been in the water.rec,commercial.

in the past 6 yrs found free diving LOVE IT!!!

my girlfriend is getting into it for a couple of reasons.

first i got in a funk and was out of the water for over a year and became very depressed.she knew if i didn't get back into the water,i was doomed and life had no meaning.

so she said she wanted to give it a go and seems to really dig it,reading the free diving manual, wanting to train, get all yoga even started a blog called "becoming a dolphin"and has been having a good time telling her story.

one of the reasons i had a hard time getting back in the water is mother ocean is so thrashed such a difference i have been watching her get abused and it really got me down......

now i am looking at it differently and going to do it differently.

apnea training and depth, maybe a camera?

now that i am back home in the water "life is good"

Nice to read you're both growing in the same direction!

Have you got a link to her blog?

For training a camera such as the Olympus Mju is handy for reviewing your technique directly in the pool, and recording some cool footage to 'sell' your hobby/passion to relatives. Or to watch at home or somewhere else when the sky is dark your palms are sweaty and you tongue is dry.

Love, Courage and Water,

Kars
