Sorry for the lack of information,

North of Atlanta, GA...

Rosewell + Marietta Area. (East Cobb County I think )

I am constantly going to a pool here and its very good. Olympic size pool + good rates. :)

I live in Gainesville, ga and dive Lake Lanier a lot. I know It's not the best place in the world but I have Zodiac so I can get to any place on the lake. I now of some great places to dive with in hour and half drive aswell. Don't let people tell Lanier is bad! You can still do your training there and I need to find dive buddy so I can get back up to where I was a year or two ago. Let me know if you interested MORG.

I am very interested. I have been trying to get out freediving but I have to settle for that pool for the time being. I am looking into a bus trip up there and all that kind of crap. I don't have a car so it makes things very difficult. I am looking up that info now. Are you located right in Gainsville? I am in the Marietta / Roswell area.

NO I just moved here from Dahlonega, Ga. which is about 35 northwest from gainesville. I just bought a house with my future wife and getting settled now. I actually just located about 5 minutes from the northern part of lake lanier.

Are you going to school here in Atlanta because I see your from Canada and you don't have car so I thought you might be a student.

Nah I'm not a student :), I just graduated back up in Canada and I am down here visiting family for a few months.

Do you come into Marietta / Roswell at all?

NO I try to avoid it as much as possible nothing down there I'm interested in go to anyway. What do you have for gear, did you bring a suit and other dive gear?

I have with me down here a decent setup:

- U.S Divers crappy SCUBA mask (High Volume but hey its a mask! lol)
- OMER Ice fins
- A Sea-doo 3mm shorty Wetsuit (Should be pretty decent)

And thats about it.... I am looking into ordering a better mask but I am trying to hold out so I can actually try it on before I purchase it. (OMER Alien). I might just bite the bullet and put in another order from OMER and get a mask + weight belt.

Do you have MSN / AIM ? anything like that.... Or we can just go into chat or something... A lot easier then this hahah

Hey anyone from the north Atlanta area?
Good to see another Georgian in the area Very interested in diving if you are still doing it.

Hey Morg I live in Marietta I could give you a lift to Lanier so we could dive with Blade Runner.

I wish there was this must interest when I still lived in North Georgia. I moved to phoenix, Az about year and half ago. Only place to dive and spear is lake pleasant and the river south of the Hoover dam which has incredible viz and huge striper to shoot!

It's funny I was looking for someone for the longest time back home, now there's someone and I'm out here now still no one to dive with! LoL

Great vis and huge stripers sounds great. If I'm in Arizona, I'll have to remember my gear. It'd be great to have a safety / guide / buddy!

I have an Aunt with A place in Scottsdale, so a visit may be in order.

Another aunt has a great place on Lanier, but when I researched it, spearing stripers there wasn't allowed - maybe just catfish.
