Northdevon spearfishing buddy wanted

Hi guys, i have just brought all my spearfishing setup and i cant wait to get out there and put it to some use!
The only problem is that i don't fancy doing it alone as i know the sea can be a dangerous place.
Is there anyone in the north Devon area that wouldn't mind me tagging along with them when they go out?
I am completely new to this so if you catch me doing anything wrong or making hard work for myself then please put me straight.

Hope to hear from someone soon as i would love to get out in this lush weather we have at the moment

Hi Ndevonfarmer. FYI I moved your thread to the regional section of the Buddy Network area of the forum - which is intended for just this type of post. However, as you originally posted in the Beginner Forum, I have left a link to this there, which will last 1 month. To my knowledge there are at least 4 forum members in N. Devon - and probably more - so hopefully they will spot this.

You might also try searching the forum for North Devon - and then try PM'ing (contacting them using the forum's Private Mail system) or through their public message board. If you do this, I suggest that you use discretion as folk are sometimes unclear as to which system they are using (public or private), so safest to assume your message is public until you become familiar with the forum's features.
 
Hi mate

I'm from North Devon and go out as often as I can locally, especially since the water is good at the moment! I'm pretty new to spear fishing too, but keen to learn and get water time. I know the basics and I know of safe places to learn and I'm happy for you to come along.
I have this week off work so if you want a swim or 2 then i'm game.
