Hi,

I'm very much new to this forum and free diving.
I came across this forum whilst researching breath holding times and techniques.

I haven't ever trained to hold my breath, I'm reasonably fit and healthy.

I just timed to see how long I can hold my breath for and made it to 2 minutes 21 seconds.

I have no idea what a good untrained time is.

Any input on this subject is greatly appreciated,

Andy

Great start!

I think 2:00 was right near my max before I did any training / practice.

Read the advice that I give in this thread:

You may have similar success in terms of seeing a dramatic increase and it should help with your confidence and familiarity with the sensations associated with apnea and practice relaxing.

Welcome!
