I'm planning on taking a trip to Oahu and will be staying at the Bellows Air Force Station. I wanted to know if anyone has done any diving and spearing off Bellows Beach. I know from Sat photos there are some good reefs close into shore and just wanted to get some info on the area. I'm not even sure yet if I'm it's legal to spear in this area but if not. Do you know any place close to the air station for shore dives and spearing?

bellows is a good beach but as far as diving im not so sure. Vis is semi decent but their is a lotta sand. A reef is located far far off shore (not sure the swim is worth it, rent a kayak cuz i have seen sharks beneeth me and 1-2 yrs ago a whale washed up and there were a whole lot of tigers eating at it)

if u go towards the little islands there is a reef but i have never personally been there.

Jelliefish run wild at bellows as well and the surf may prove annoying.

well thats my beginners 2 cents. have fun if u do go!
