Objection to unacceptable 'Fisheries Permit Increases' in South Africa

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

Whats the point can you recall one decision ever being turned around by our Brilliantly moronic goverment ever.... Eskom's 33% x 3 comes to mind. Only a couple million objections to that little proposal. No matter what you do once its in the gazette its as good as being in the lawbooks.

I think it might now even be cheaper just to not get licenced and to take cray till i eventually get cuaght and then ill just pay the fine. At least i can do that online.

It's all going into the corruption coffers I guess whether you get a 'licence' or a 'fine'....hey ho Africa.

With MPA's covering every decent diving spot on the peninsula i'd say he pretty much got that right would'nt you?

I heard the official reason for the increases are that 191 Million in renvenue is somehow missing from the coastal management treasury and the hike in pricing is to try and get that money back.

Here's an idea for the chaps in goverment, Hire a freaking Auditor to find the missing money. And maybe just maybe one day they will actually convict someone for tapping the coffers.

Great suggestion, but in all likelihood the auditor will end up being the cousin of the person being audited.

That's the OFFICIAL reason!!!! I can't believe how blatantly open and absolutely shameless corruption is in SA. Gone are the days when corrupt officials had to hide their exploits from public view.
