Ocean Men DVD??

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
About the DVD

I bought the DVD last week. Although all the menu's where in Japanese, it played perfectly on my European DVD player. The documentary Ocean Men is in English, so you don't have to speak Japanese to understand it. The documentairy is accompanied by Japanese subtitles, who can be turned off.

The extra feature consist of a Japanese Trailer for the documentary.

The documentary is NOT the IMAX film, but a longer documentary witch is produced during the same time period by the same company H5B5 in cooperation with Haifish entertaiment.

About the Ocean Men book

I also bought the book about three years ago. This was a german edition, who was made with the IMAX production. The edition consisted mainly of photography of the IMAX film, with limited text.

About the Umberto book

The book title and description reminds me of the French biography of Umberto. Haven't read it yet, however. I doubt if it is directly connected with the Ocean Men production

Just my 0.2 cents,

Rik

Though my websearch to find a DVD was futile too, I thought you all might be interested to know that I did discover where Ocean Men is showing soon. At the IMAX in Toronto, Canada, at the Ontario Science Center. It opens April 29, 2005 and runs through September 5. You can contact them at 416-696-1000 for times. We're planning to drive up from Baltimore to see it!

I wonder if I'll make it to Toronto this summer... grifgirl, you wouldn't be able to find out where it's going after that would you? I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.

My dvd arrived, by the way, but you can see the summary of the contents in Rik's message above.

Technically speaking, it wouldn't play on my Region 1 player, but would only work on my multi-regional player. It did, however, play on a US television set (NTSC) so at least that's not a concern.

That's all, enjoy.
Gordon.
