Oil Spill - Deep Horizon Blowout

Good luck to the folks along the Gulf coast in the immediate vicinity in dealing with the spill. Time will tell what degree the spill will impact the Gulf, Florida, Bahamas, Eastern Seaboard and Cuba. So much relies on how quickly they can contain the ongoing release as the existing oil spill is subjected weather and current conditions.

Nice one Ricki. That spill is just horrendous and will have a major impact on so many livelihoods and marine life as well. I was reading up yesterday on the variety of marine and bird life that will be affected. These oil companies really get my goat. I am no-one to judge but surely after the last couple of major spills you'd think that huge cooperations like BP would have all the right safety procedures in place to avoid this kind of accident.

My thoughts are with all of you.
 
I hear some rumours the Deep Horizon spill is back in action and leaking huge amount of oil into the Gulf again. Anyone has closer information about it?

oh man..... we had some slick like that a few weeks ago. :( (in the Arabian Gulf though)
