Just received an omer airbalete (110cm ) from the wife. Took it out last week but only shot it a few times as it seemed underpowered at the factory seeting (20 atm I think) an I had forgotten the pump. I raised the pressure to 25 atm (280 strokes!) and went out on Saturday. Gun shot beautifully. The shots missed were probably due to shooter error. At the end of the dive, just before dusk, we decided to take a last dip. 10 minutes in i glimpsed a dark shadow cruising the bottom. As I decended the cubera swam away from me. I pursued, he turned.... case closed. The shaft fully penetrated and exited just below the gill plate. Not a stone shot but a good shot.Line peeled from the reel, then nothing. I dove to find out he was tangled in some stones about 35ft down. I cleared the 500lb dyneema and brought my prize to the surface. The gun and reel performed flawlessly. The cubera measured 36.5 inches.
Sorry for the long post ......first cubera.

Reactions: Mr. X
Congratulations. How do you like the airbalete?

Your curiosity makes me curious, Mr. X. Are you planning to go pneumatic any soon?
