Hi all,

My Omer Atoll float was flipped by a wave at the weekend, at the same time the wave managed to seperate the upper section of the two piece flag pole, thus losing the upper section and also the flag. :head

Does anyone have any suggestions on how and where I can get a replacement. As a UK diver, what is considered the best flag, the red/white "diver down" flag or the blue/white alpha flag?

Thanks

Well, what a suprise!

I gave up on this dive after around an hour due to poor viz of less than 2 metres. Anyway, a friend of mine who dived the same spot as me a few hours later actually found my flag and pole on the sea bed. Good going in less than 2 metres viz!

He sent me a text message a day or so ago telling me this, but I thought he was taking the p1ss. Nope, he actually has it!

What a result that was. Was he looking for your flag or just happened to come across it?

I too am a UK based "diver" (more arm chair at the moment :crutch), and am interested in knowing which flag is more widely used / recognised around the uk coast?

He knew I'd lost it, so kept an eye out for it whilst fishing, he wasn't specifically looking for it.
