Ok all,

I am interested in buying the BAT 25 fins, green mimetic....RAMBO...watch out !!! :martial

I have been looking for some answers to what might seem stupid to you ..... but please bear with me and answer me these few questions if you can .

Question 1

----------
It mentions on the OMER site that they are manufactured by composite fibers. I read elsewhere about fiber-glass fins.... Please state the material the OMER BAT 25s are made of and how they compare to the fiberglas ones if different .

Question 2
-----------
Taken from the site again.
They were developed to 'replace' the Carbon-fiber fins, which up to now were the 'best thing' for freediving. So the new BAT fins are meant to be much better at not breaking easy , than Carbon Fiber, yet being almost as good as Carbons.
So....yes they are more durable....but how do they actually compare to Carbon-Fiber blades (from OMER) those of you with experience please state.
Can they replace them, or not really.

Question 3
----------
What does the BAT actually stand for ???

Question 4
-----------
How much should i roughly pay for them.
I can get them from the OMER Dealer here for 248 Euros (todays exchange rate):rcard I read on other threads that u can get the C4 Mustangs for 300 Euros..... Pitty...i could pay a bit more and get something like Mustangs instead of the RAMBO Threateners.....
Pitty they take us for granted :naughty :rcard :ko

So ....here are the 4 questions...

Please answer any you can, and if you have any more info on BAT 25s please do share them...

Thanks,

George:mad:

The Omer bat are fiberglass fins. They are more efficient than the normal plastic ones, but inferior in performance to carbon. But they are also more though than carbon witch is important if you are spearfishing around rocks.
This shop http://www.subprof.com sells the bats for 150 EURO and delivers worlwide. I recently bought some C4 VTR, wich are fiberglass/carbon hybrids, and I am very happy with them:) . The advantage of this blade over the bat is that it has an angle, making them much better for surface swimming.
You can also try waterway, they manufacture the matrix fins that generally have good reviews.http://www.finswimworld.com/
