Hi,
I was trying to take out the trigger from an omer cayman to clean and service, following instructions in this video, I got the rear pin out but couldn't get the forward pin to move even 1mm. I didn't want to smash it incase I damaged it. Is there any tricks to help get the pin out? or just brute force and ignorance?
Thanks,
Duncan

You shouldn't normally need to dismantle a speargun. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Cleaning should normally mean just flushing with plenty of fresh water - and that should be done after each & every use.

If you really feel that you must do this (sigh) you could try:
Heat, which would just be warm water in this case ( to expand the hole, break any seal & dissolve any salt).
Lube, silicone spray perhaps?
Something like a bike chain pin extractor? Something apply a very steadily increasing force accurately.

Does Omer recommend grease (as shown in the video)? That will likely catch sand & grit in the environments I dive in. Rob Allen recommend(ed) that no lubricant be used on their trigger mechs. when I asked them some years ago.
