Hi All,

As i have already said, i am in the process of deciding on which gun to buy.

I have concluded that its going to be the 100cm Omer Excalibur 3000 (with reel)
as it comes from the factory.

I have been checking the prices out in local shops and the internet. I have seen very interesting price variations !!!!

Can you all please specify the price for the OMER Excalibur 3000 (100cm) in your Country's currency. If it is an online store please specify postage costs as well.

Just curious to see how much we are charged.....or overcharged over here !!!!
Is this overcharging justified !!!! :naughty

I would like some Italians to comment on the price of the said gun in Italy !!!

Thanks,

George

Here in Italy it's between 140/160 euro, reel included.
I don't know how much they want in your country, but of course if you buy in a country other than Italy you have to charge the shipping cost, the import taxes, and the profits for the importer, the district distributor and the local shop reseller, each of which has to gain his money from the trade. That's facts of life in a market economy.
BTW -I have news that all the Excalibur series, including the 3000, will be discontinued by Omer from 2007. That's quite surprising for a new product as the Excalibur 3000, but there's no technical issue with it: simply, Omer is preparing a totally NEW model fo speargun, of the same class of the Excalibur but completely different (new handle, new mechs, new everything), to replace it for the next years. By now only a few testers know how it's made: top secret!

Hi Spaghetti !!!!

Fair enough....everybody has to make a living !!!! but how much ???:rcard

For example, for this speargun to travel 1,000 miles (still to a EU Country) and still cost way more than the same speargun that travelled from ITALY all the way across the atlantic to USA for example, is a bit of a shock !!!!:rcard

Did some ecomonics at school and college !!!!

But still , i can tell when they we are overcharged !!!!!!:naughty

I can get the OMER Excalibur 3000 here for 243 Euros , or 308 US Dollars !!!!:head

Anyone with any more prices !!!! PLEASE COMMENT !!!

BY THE WAY !!!!
Same price of 245 Euros or 310 US DOllars for the OMER BAT 25 !!!!!!

Please tell me that the OMER Products over here are GOLD PLATED !!!!:t

Regards,

George

Shipping from Italy to the UK is around 24-30 euro for a light speargun (Omer XXV w/o reel) - a bit overpriced IMHO; the Americans manage to get stuff further better & cheaper. There are no import taxes for sales from one EU state to another (e.g. Italy/France to UK) - that's the common market; VAT will be charged by the seller at their local rate.

...
Please tell me that the OMER Products over here are GOLD PLATED !!!!:t
Solid gold I should think.
