Omer foot pocket pain solution

I read an article earlier about the rubber Omer foot pocket being a pain. We use to put tumblers in the foot pockets while putting them in direct sunlight. The tumlbers would stretch the rubber a bit and then you are rid of the sore feet problems. I store them with the tumbler in them.
Good info, thanks. By stretching the rubber do you notice any change in the performance of the pocket? What I mean is OMER pockets have that stiff band on the top to reduce flexing of the footpocket. Does stretching it reduce the stiffness of the band, making the pocket more flexible? Thanks for your help.

It doesn't stretch the heel side of the pocket because you use a small enough tumbler which doesn't stretch it. I haven't noticed any performance problem. It's all pluses no minuses.
