I just noticed that ice fins have been discounted to more sensible levels at apnea.co.uk. Pity they didn't do this before I was put off by all the reports of blades breaking, variable service replacing blades (from excellent to non-existent after-sales service, depending on reseller) and the recommendations that they might not be a good choice for larger/stronger/more brutal users :D. Oh well. Perhaps some of our smaller/lighter/more delicate spearos might benefit from the significant price reduction (£110->£85):

Perhaps there is a new, improved model ice in the works???

BTW also saw a report that the Omer footpockets (on the Runner) use an "incorrect" mapping of EU to UK sizes (44-46 is not usually equal to 11-12) - unusually, it sounds like the UK size might be the more accurate size in this case (i.e. larger rather than smaller than might be expected).

Must have been all the warranty claims (my guess). The Ice are still in the 2010 Omer catalogue, but I bet my shiniest penny that they won't be there in 2011. Moreover, don't forget that Omer is now investing in the new Stingray footpocket (the carbon version of Stingray blade is now available), that fits for blades with more angle than the Millennium/Rekord/Ice series. My final guess, but I'm juts guessing, is that the Ice stocks are being cleared. I found them for 75 euro in my local shop.
My final final final word: my Omer Ice used and abused are still ok, still solid and working great.

Spaghetti

Do you think omer will drop the "classic" foot pocket and replace with the new stingray.

That's an excellent question, Raf, but I haven't yet seen my Aston Martin and my 50 gold Sovereigns...:hmm

Spaghetti i'm just glad you didnt sell out for one of those BMW's they were usin in some of the more rescent bonds... nice cars but it aint no bond car.

DB6 if you please sir!

Just thought i'd double check. in the 2010 catalogue the Ice fins are abscent which would suggest that they are discontinued along with the Pegaso. looks like Omer have rationalised their fin line which makes sense.

- Stingray carbon
-Stingray poly
- Millenium Black
-Millenium Winter

Fox

Who owns aston these days, at the time of the bond movie was ford correct ?

Funny things these car brands.

Roll Roice is vw
Rover is ta-ta
Copper is Bmw
Jagar is ford ?

We (the Italians) now own Chrysler. I'm not sure if that includes the Dodge and Jeep brands too. That would be amazing, though: a Dodge pick up truck still rugged as it comes, but from italian design. I want one!

I send you my dodge, you send me back an Enzo rofl

Enzo is a ferrari, made in 2001 to comemorate 100 years of Enzo Ferrari's birthday.

I heard spaghetti drives one around from all the money he gets from seatec and deeperblue rofl

I hate ford, "Fix Or Repair Daily" or "Found on Road Dead", low taxes in US so cars are cheaper.

Actually my favority truck is the tundra, I just could not afford one.

Raf, I'm only volunteering for Seatec, as well as I'm volunteering for C4, volunteergin for Omer, volunteering for Cressi, volunteering for Mares, volunteering for Deeperblue and volunteering for Holy Mary.
That's why I drive.....................a really crappy Ford! :head TAH!

PS: our Fords we drive in Europe are built in Europe and are quite decent in quality. It's not a fix or repair daily but, eventually, a fix or repair monthly. :blackeye
