Say, what about those modified rails? did you cut them down till before the end? what difference does it make?
The rails reduce the reactivity of the carbon. THey actually slow the blade down and make them stiffer for no added push.
Removing most of it allows for the carbon to keep its properties and the tips will stop the slippage.
