I am pretty sure i will be getting this gun. I have never used a European gun but have heard a lot of good things. Can anyone tell me about this gun. I will use it mainly for reef (snapper, grouper, jacks, etc.) But I also want to venture into bluewater with it. Will this gun work for blue water (kingfish, dolphin)? i am planning to use a second band in this setting and i will have a reel on it. I am worried that the tip and flopper may not be heavy duty enough for bluewater pelagics. Any info is appreciated.

What about the omer reel? is it any good. what reels would u reccomend for this gun.

The shafts are very thin,,,i plan on getting a springsteel one as well. can these shafts take any punishment?

I have a Carbon T20 with Aluminum 50 reel & it's a very well-balanced & deadly set-up. It's a good all-around gun; however, depending on the range you want for different conditions, you may want 2 different guns. Don't settle for 1 gun that will handle 2 situations(i.e. reef & blue-water) semi-decently when you can get 2 guns that handle each environment well. :)

Sorry about late reply, but before I had a feeling I was lacking experience to comment anything on this gun. Now that I have been using it a bit, I have to say that it is very good gun. The slings that come with it are very powerful. Accurate shooting and good range for someone who earlier was shooting 75cm gun.

I would buy this gun again, no questions asked. It works well and what I have heard you can load some considerable amount more for the trigger mech. If you happen to be looking at extra bands or something like that.

Id consider something with a rail in the 120-130cm range if you plan on doing some blue water with it, look at sporasub vyper from scuba store.com. you can fit a RA muzzle on it also....or a rabitech I think youll be more pleased with them due to the rail....
hope it helps
