its a jelly... i got stung a couple of weeks ago in Fujairah by something that looked very similar to that... owwwwwwwwww

Weird, I played with quite of a few of those things including something that looks exactly like that and never got stung.
By 'play' I mean navigating it with my hand to be able to inspect it better...
I guess I was lucky.

i think those "jellies" are salps, which shouldn't sting. they are related to sea squirts and other tunicates.

Don't know what salps are, but jellyfish belong to phylum cnidaria and tunicates belong to tunicata, if it's a jelly fish (and I'm pretty sure it is) it's not a tunicate.
Unless there are exceptions I don't konw of.
