I was just minding my own business when this beautiful Harbor Seal slowly approached, paused, and while staring directly at me, did a 360' roll....

Being an amicable sort of swimmer, i immediately returned the 360' roll.

That was it, we were friends!

She was a very healthy and contented looking seal with a soft, friendly expression. She followed me everywhere i went, always on the fringes of visibility. Every time i caught a glimpse of her, she was looking directly at me as though we were having a serious dialog. I tried not to pay too much attention, but i couldn't help noticing her on every dive.

While coming out of the kelp on one particular ascent, i look over and there she is, gliding motionless directly towards me...

For a wild animal this was one adorable creature!

really~

Nice one Brad.

The most zen experience I ever had was swimming with a Green Turtle. And that in an area where no turtles have ever been seen before! It was absolute magic. :)

You have to feel sorry for people who dont dive and will never get to have encounters like this.
