One of the best freediving masks out there

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Very informative and entertaining! - You're getting better each video!

About size, the Sphera fits medium to wide faces best. Not narrow heads. (I'm not sure about narrow minded heads).
The down view is poor, the side and up view is great.
The masks compressibility is great, I believe Martin Stepanec did a 123m CWT dive with it.

Other great masks:

Cressi Minima (used to be a favourite for depth)
Cressi Super Occio (still favoured by UW rugby and hockey players)
Omer Alien (spearfishing)
Aqualung Micromask (and it's many clones), (durable, great field of vision, very low volume)

Other options:
goggels + noseclip (sta / dynamic)
fluid goggles + noseclip (depth)
only noseclip (sta/depth)

I believe if you search here for field of vision and masks on deeperblue You'll find my posts about that. It also has a photo demonstrating the a few mask's field of vision, which I think is very important for the feeling of freediving. Allow me to explain. As a freediver we enjoy a closeness and intimate connection with the water and world around us. Our view can amplify or detract from this by giving us an unlimited view or a limited view to our world. Simply said I feel more remote to the ocean when I have a narrow field of view mask then when I wear a wide field of view Sphera where I mostly see water instead of the artificial and distracting borders of a piece of technology.

Apart from better feelings, a large field of view aids in safety, as it allows for better situational awareness. It also saves energy because you'll need to turn your head and body less to see and know what is around you.

A good video on mask use could be helpful too, as too many people have trouble with leakage, fogging and clearing ingress water.
