My son, Eric, known hereabouts as the Mighty Pudman and DB COntest judge took to his lessons with a vengence and let his genes do the rest as he joined me for his "real" abalone dive here in Northern California. Real in that he's gone through PADI cert, has his own gear now rather than that rental sh, er kit, and me to show him whats what.

Whats what is that on his first time out he not only got his first, but his first limit!! :king There are those in the know that took several trips before they even saw one! :head And they weren't small by any stretch.

There's something about being 28 feet down, turning to look up and point 'em out to your son, only to realize that he's already down next to you, pulling 'em!!! Whatta guy.

I'm off to wipe my tears of joy...

I'd say welcome to the club Sven, but by the size of the young man, it may not be the first time that papa watched with pride.
It brought back the memory of the first time that my daughter beat me at chess.
Enjoy the feeling.
Aloha
Bill

Hmmm, now tell us, Uncle Sven, doesn't this force you to change your name to Daedulus Pacific leaving Icarus for the young chappie?

Indeed Bill. Hey, take a look at this month's contest photo's. I think you'll get a kick out of it. He and I are both 15 in the respective photos. Dedicated to all us guys that have put in the time to be humble.

And congrats on your knowlege of mythology, Old Sarge. Give a nod and a tip of the goblet to your public school teacher. Congrats also on your ascenion here and on your PB's you shot down in Baja. I'll be talking you in the next few about Dale's trips.

Now is time to get worry, for the abalones of course.

Congrats to both of you

Carlos

Nice abalone, great smiles! :) Or "Like father, like son: flying high..."
