One Ton Shark Caught in Vietnam after issue of bounty

I guess not when they put a bounty on a "man" killer!. I hope everyone is no longr afraid to go into the ocean--now that there are no longer any dangerous sharks there. (hope your sarcasm meter is spiking)

That mentality is mind boggling. Pics look like a GWS to me. I noticed that the fin mongers started circling like, well, sharks with blood in the water. Really they're more like buzzards.

it does look like a GW hey?
buggers, hope for every one they kill.... 100 more are born ;)

Bloody wonderful isn't it. It's the jaws theme all over again. Where ALL the sharks they catch have eaten dozens of people.

My thoughts exactly! One less nasty creature that'd like to eat me - carry on till they're all gone I say! :martial

I dont think he was referring to the killiing of the shark... or was he? Hyeparis? :girlie

Go and look at this : http://forums.deeperblue.com/beach-bar/81484-bites-nasties-poll.html

Now don't you think if we DID need to get rid of them at least ONE person on Deeper Blue would have ticked "yes" to a certain section there? Especially among all the oceanic swimmers we have here. And I'm sure most swim outsiode of, or without shark netting.

Or perhaps we can kill dogs, because I have grown up by the rivers and oceans of the Gold Coast here, and never even MET somebody who has been bitten by a shark, let alone been friends with them. But I have lost count of the number of close friends who have been attacked by dogs.

Is there some purpose to that gyrating fat kid thing other than offending everyone? That's all it does for me.

We have GWS off the CalCoast and the Neptunes have lost at least one member, perhaps two to them--in over forty years! They don't worry me. Humboldt squid worry me.

To be honest, just playing with them mostly. of course there's the odd idiot who aggravates them, but that's just Darwinism. ;)
