In my ,local paper today(western morning news) there was a small item about an incident at Thurlstone (south devon) where one diver had accidently (i hope ) shot another diver with a speargun !! apparantly he was not seriously injured ,and the lifeguard who assisted with first aid suggested that the wetsuit had saved him from more serious injury, quite how this happened i do not know, but really hope he is OK ,and if the individuals involved use this forum i would be intrigued to hear their story, as the press are often far from accurate about such events ! I also hope it does not come to the attention of any local council official who may campaign against the use of spearguns (unless you attend a course ,have a license ,insurance etc,etc...) I.seem to remember last year another local incident where someone got shot in the foot ,but i do not think they were spearos, but on the banks of the estuary trying to get mullet i think.
