I am wondering if there is any great diference in open cell wet suits and closed cell (smooth like the aqua stop on lining inside suits) inside in terms of heat insulation.
I have seen many suits made inside with the smooth surface and used in cold winter waters but i haven't heard any diference from open cell

'Open cell' as it's mistakenly called, is warmer than smoothskin rubber, as the 1000's of tiny cells stick to you much better, allowing less water in (on the same suit ie).
Peace,
Erik Y. on my 6th wetsuit :)
