Hi guys I've used picassos century open muzzle and liked it a lot, very simple and functional, I saw Rob Allen and it was full of design that I think don't make any difference, only the plastic to have sharp edges and cut your rubbers.
I'd like to know what open muzzles are the best and why in your opinion.

Thanks

Hi Drakon, are you asking about which open muzzle spearguns are the best? I think that many are very good, and the plastic (hard polymer) muzzles fitted onto the good quality brand name spearguns seem very durable. And if a scrape mark or a cut in the muzzle is capable of abrading the shooting line I smooth it with sand paper. By the way, do you spear in the ocean or rivers?
~ Cheers.

I prefer the new Rob Allen open muzzle. It lifts the band up and away from the barrel. The idea was to give a straight pull, and maximize the energy transfer to the shaft. The logic of getting the band away from the barrel is that the band increases in diameter as it shortens when fired. This is likely (although not tested as far as I know) to keep the band from losing power by increasing friction on the barrel.

Ocean only.
I wanted to know opinions becouse I'm trying to get details to manufacture one, so I'm looking for what's already good and improve it...
Thanks
