Optimal wetsuit thickness for Australia NSW water.

Hi all,

I am considering buying a Cressi Apnea wetsuit with hood.
However, I am still contemplating between the 3.5mm and 5mm.

Could anybody suggest which will suit best to the water condition?
I myself am not too sure the average water temperature, but some sources indicated that it varies from 17C-23C throughout the year.
