Hey all, I am looking to upgrade to a better wetsuit and the Orca S3 is well priced compared to its other models, I also spearfish so its either this or the Riffe camo.

I'm in Florida so only really need a 3mm.

Let me know your 2 cents.... Thanks.

Hi SD

The Orca is indeed a nice suit, however depending on your style of fishing I could fear that the smoothskin on the Orca will give you quite a job with the neoprene glue. For spearing I think you should go for the spearfishing suit (which BTW is perfectly fine for depth freediving as well).

Very best regards
H!

I wear Orcas ( RS1 and OrcaFree) for freediving and have a Riffe camo 5mm for spearfishing here in California. durability in surf and rocks is the reason for a spearfishing suit rather than a suit designed for hydrodynamics.

Is the orcafree for freediving?

Yes, Adelito. It is a little thicker than the RS1 . It has really tight seals and is good when the temp is a little cooler. Also, William designed it specially for freediving so it is very hydrodynamic and flexible.
