Hi, I've just moved to Ottawa from the California coast and I'm looking to do some spearfishing on the Quebec side but need a buddy. I did find Qc Spearfishing on Facebook and they're an excellent group of guys that are great advocates for the sport and have been catching impressive fish - it's just that they're usually spearing about 2 hours from where I live (Montreal area) and that's a bit too far for most weekends.

Anyways, anyone interested in going out please send me an email through the system and we'll line something up. I'm glad to do the driving / pay parking / whatever the case may be.

I'm also up for any kind of freediving activity. Can't do that without a partner, either.

Nils.

Hey,

I think I'll be ready by next summer. I need to spend the winter training in a pool. but by next summer I'll be looking for a dive / Spearfishing buddy aswell

Mtl has a good Freedive scene.

Some quarries to dive and lots of organized pool sessions throughout the week.

Remember to always use a buddy system for pool training. Don't do it alone - we've lost world champions that way - which is even more sad because it is so easily preventable.

Winter spearo practice doesn't get much better than underwater hockey!

All the best from a Torontonian!
