that wave would terrify anyone on the planet, bravery, courage and commitment are an understatement, did he leave his brain at home that day, i just can't grasp the size of that monster wave,it must of looked twice its size when it was coming towards him, lucky man to have survived it

She can be a DARK mistress sometimes of that there’s no doubt.
Lucky man, I wonder if he went straight out and bought a lottery ticket after walking away from that.

if he did he won then he probably whent and bought a new surfboard and legstrap
paid for physio on his damaged shoulders , bought a bigger engined jet ski and he is probably looking for a bigger wave right now

Same place as the wipeout...known simply as 'the right'.10 years ago these weren't even classed as waves, now they're popping up all round the world and with the introduction of tow surfing they're easy to get into....but not so easy to get out of!

I was up your way not long ago...stunning place for many reasons. Can't wait to return.

Thanks for posting that shot, badlander. The first wave looked so weird that I wondered if it was photoshoped, but you can see the relation. Freaky looking wave, not to mention its size.
