I build for my cyrano spergun my own mamba design.
It is a little bit different to the other systems.
I made this evening the first test an the reach is about 25% better:friday.
More details and maybe a few pictures will follow the next days.
First i have to say thank you to tromic.
He try to explaine me how the conventional mamba sytems are working.
But i didn`t uderstand it, i am not sure if the systems are really proof against incoming water, friction and negative pressure in the barrel.
...
So i can decide if i want to have acess from air or water to the barrel.
So i made my own thoughts.
I sealed the top of the cyrano speargun with 2 O-rings and a relocatable sleeve.
Closed system:
...
The new thing is the simple sealing of the spear.
I put a O-ring on the spear and build a sealing Delrin bush.
The bush is fixed by 4 little niro screws.
The spear was modified, single diameter, necessary for the Mamba system.
Inside the bush are 2 diameters, the smaller one is a little bit bigger than the diameter of the spear.
The bigger one ist depending on the o-ring of the spear.
The material of the spear is very hard and it is difficult to work with it. It is better to build first the groove of the spear and then build the right bush.
The spear is without a butt and without slider.
Thanks. Is is possible to put a picture of the spear? Why do you need the groove on the spear? I steel believe your design is like tovarich system. O ring is inside the bush, all the time. Right?
