Swahili Divers needs an instructor who knows where we are. Someone who has some experience in Africa......
WE NEED:
*a Young instructor
*Someone with a sense of humour
*someone who speaks English
YOU NEED:
*An Idea about how Africa works,
*An idea of where Africa is.
*An understanding of people.
*To be a good dive instructor. Ie to be able to swim in a straight line with clients without hitting the surface or the bottom
* To be very open minded about religions and cultures.
*To have experience in AFRICA.
*To be an INSTRUCTOR paid up and insured.
*To have a police clearance (No crimes) certificate from your country of residence.
HELPFUL BUT NOT VITAL
*Experience with other training agencies and divers.
*Knowing Elton Chatz
*Being a South African
*Having a basic knowledge of any African language. (Sutu-Swahili-Chichewa- Anything)
*having a basic knowledge of Afrikaans is totally useless but very amusing for evening Van de Merwe stories.
YOU MUST NOT BE:
* A couple
* A jobs worth
We have had excellent experiences with South African citizens. Consequently we would be very happy to consider applications from South Africa. But passports are not important. It is the person that we are interested in, not the paperwork. EG: If you are an Italian, speak perfect English and you live in Angola then we are still interested. We have a reasonable pay package that includes visas, full board, domestic travel to Pemba, accommodation and generous chunks of time off.
