Looking to spearfish while freediving in Palm Beach County?
My boat is not large 17', but I only go out on calm days. It generally allows weekly diving.
The currents are stong, and the boat needs a captain on board who just wants to be on the water or possibly a third spearo or line fisher.
I am not really interested in competitions and like to be conservative. I'd be interested in learning safety techniques including rescue.
I am just getting back into freediving. I am good for about 60' now and probably more soon. I don't like to push it though. I am interested in trying techniques that attract fish out in the blue water by deploying temporary, very large fish aggregation devices (such as large tarps underwater).
Spearguns are of course firearms. I practice safe handling of my guns and expect the same from my buddies. Paramount is that a muzzle is never pointed, even for a moment, toward another person.
Please reply with comments. I look forward to hearing from you.
