At the end of my swims I'll do the occasional bit of downtime via partial exhale-so as to sit on the bottom w/o weight belt. I've been able to do in excess of 2.5 min with no worries. This surprises me somewhat as my max downtime spearing has been 3min, but here I am with much less 02 and not at depth(which to my understanding helps to perfuse tissue). Is the energy exerted getting down and up the telling factor here? What times divers achieving with partial exhale and reduced bouyancy relative to full inhalation(even packing)? This is what seals do, no?
