pathos 82 - great gun?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
There are some parts in the trigger mechanism which makes most of the noise. I have just placed some spongy materials on them. Now the gun is silent like dead.

Where exactly did you put the spongy materials???? Is it possible to send a foto???
What about safety? Is it safe???

I never had noise problems with my own gun.

when the gun releases the shaft, the metal part of the trigger mechanism hits the plastic body and makes some noise. I glued a spongy plastic to the left side of this metal part so it is pressed by this spaonge . When you open the gun handle it is the only big metal part you will see. ALso I glued another plastic to the point where the released trigger hits the same metal part.
NOw when I pull the trigger I hear nothing. Also under water I like it that way. If you have time give it a try.

I also tried a few days ago the new tube from Pathos.

It is excellent!!!! It has a shaft all along the tube made by the same material the tube is made and it is "one" body with the tube.

I put on a handle from the TRIAXXX Imersion handle and head with a pair o megabooster . It is EXCELLENT!!!!

The gun is 100 cm long and for big groupers and jacks is very good!!!
But only for mediterranean spearfishing!!!

Hey,

Does anyone have any information for the new Pathos.. It's carbon with open head???
Is there an internet site that I could see this? Any help will be highly appreciated..

Thanks,

I have a few pics i took at the EUDI show

Send me a PM and i will email you

I just have see the new pathos ( Open & OPEN PRO) in Greece
Its a exelent gun. I am thinking to order one 100 Open but I will change the Bands to 2 16mm Gorilla and the spear to a Devoto 6,5

General th only think that I have hear from some firends is that the Pathos reel is ont the best and that its easy to lose SHARKS on the pathos Open Pro original Spear

Is the barrel 100% carbon? At very first glance looks like the c4 monoscocca. Did you get to 'manhandle' the gun Shane? First impressions?

There are 2 versions with open muzzle.

The alluminium version with the full rail, and the carbon version with the round tube

i preferred the allum version as i think the reinforced allum tube would be enough to hold 2x16mm bands

Shane,

Thanks for the pics.. I think the gun looks really nice..
Who is the seller/distributor of this gun? Any info?

Ilker

Do they sell these guns in Spain yet? Thanks for info. Will they tempt you away from the Mamba force?

The mamba force is too strong

Although it is a nice gun, for band guns i would always go with an abellan

This gun is a Effesub speargun or? Its look like the new pathos but it is not the original.

I wonder if in one 100 open Pathos we can put 3 16mm gorilla bands?

Effesub market the Apnea guns in Italy. Its the same gun with different branding

Dive and Fish have the new one but you must search under the Greek part off the webpage.
